What's a Life Coach?
I've had several people ask me recently, “What even is a life coach?” So if you've also had that question, here is your answer.
Having a life coach is like having your own personal champion; like talking to your good friend once a week, but she helps you find all the answers (inside YOU).
A life coach helps you embrace your emotional experience so you don't have to be afraid of, or a slave to, dysregulated emotions. A life coach helps you DO all the things you couldn't do before because she helps you hold fast to the powerful thoughts and feelings required for you to stay committed.
A life coach sees you as the person you CAN and want to be in your FUTURE. You get to spend an hour a week making decisions based on the life you WANT to have. Every conversation with your life coach is a reset and a reminder of what is possible.
Working with a coach helps you feel less alone in the world because you are supported and seen.
A coach helps you not quit on YOU. She helps you say yes to yourself and your dreams over and over. A life coach saves you time, and even money, because the most expensive way to learn is by your experience.
A coach can help you STOP being a victim of your life: a victim to your time, your relationships, your money, and especially your mind.
A life coach helps you see your personal blind spots. Having a life coach means hearing the truth, even when it's hard. Because when you open up to the possibility that you might be wrong about your painful story, it's the BEST news ever! It means you could change your ENTIRE life by shifting just one thought, one feeling, and/or one habit. This is SO empowering! When you have a coach, these shifts happen over and over, sometimes even between coaching sessions.
When you are growing and changing quickly, your nervous system often goes into fight or flight. (This is what makes most people quit on their dreams.) A life coach helps you stay calm and in belief while navigating the pain and discomfort of GROWTH. There is TREMENDOUS value in not quitting when things get hard.
A coach helps you celebrate your progress, pointing out all the ways you've grown, so you DON'T miss it.
In short, a life coach helps you live your BEST LIFE and BE your best self.
I hope that answered your question. ;)
