But the Greatest of These is Love

"And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love" (1 Corinthians 13:13, NIV).

Happy Valentine's week!

I find the wordlovefascinating. In English, the wordloveis very inadequate. In other languages, there are often a dozen or more words used for our one wordlove. And this simple word can play the role of noun, verb, or adjective. What?

As an emotion, LOVE is the very best one in my opinion. Energetically, love holds the highest frequency. Especially when it creates a feeling of connection with another human.

Probably because love has such high energetic frequency, it is a powerful motivator. Self-love trumps self-loathing every time when it comes to pursuing and reaching our goals. Love for others is the bestwhybehind service. Love for God is the best motive behind sacrificing and living God's laws.

You get to feel love ANYTIME you want to. Did you know this?

As humans, we do silly things sometimes. We withhold love because we don't want to feel vulnerable, or we think somehow it will hurt the other person if we harbor resentment and hate. But in my experience, the main person I hurt by withholding love is myself.

Love is an emotion that just keeps giving. The more we give love, the more we feel it internally, and the more we naturally receive externally.

Love adds, not subtracts; it multiplies, not divides.

Love and gratitude are synergistic emotions. When you increase one, the other naturally doubles or triples.

When it comes to loving the people in my home, I choose to believe that it is my greatest opportunity and privilege to love them. As a mom and wife, I show up at my very best when I drop my lofty expectations and just love unconditionally.

What is blocking you from giving and receiving love right now? I recently discovered some powerful insights about myself that are helping me grow my ability to both give and receive love. My capacity for JOY has increased in the process.

LOVE feels so good. And I hope we all can feel more of it this February (and the rest of the year). So, go love harder on everyone in your life.
